The Green Leaves
25 May, 2002
Author: Don Fraser
The green leaves are in the trees,
No longer am I,
In blossoms to my knees.
The spring showers will arrive,
On them the,
The flowers thrive.
Soon the days will be warm,
And to the lakes and streams,
The children will swarm.
Then summer will come,
And all of the children,
Will have fun.
Then comes the autumn of the year,
But the boys and girls,
Have nothing to fear.
Soon the snow will be on the ground,
And then,
There will be merriment,
All around.
Children will go down hill on their sleigh,
Outside they,
Will play all day.
Christmas will be here,
And all of the boys and girls,
Will cheer.
Santa will give them toys,
The year will end,
With joys.
