Diamonds Dancing
2 January, 2009
Author: Pondering Red
Diamonds on the windows
dazzle me on this new years day.
Brighter than yesterday,
the shimmering glass beads
blend with the swaying shadows of branches.
Decorations are packed away,
new calendars opened and written in.
I move slowly,
breathing in the newness
I feel around me.
No rushing today.
I take my time.
You can wait
because you wait already.
You are where you are.
And
I am where I want to be for this moment.
Long lines of sun shadows fall on the floors,
Nature's designs inside - Art morphing -
Lights changing - Entertainment -
Lovely.
Stepping outside will be
incredibly cold...chilling...freezing.
And I will walk into the first day
of this new year
with nature displaying
her theatrical artistic talents,
keeping my mind away from the patterns
that my breathing will make.
Pleasure in simplicity.
