Minus Ten
Homeless among many men

Pain of the elements
Piercing my skin,
Lots of layers on
But wearing very thin

Minus Ten
Homeless among many men

There’s red there,
Rushing through the blue,
It reminds me that I’m still alive like you

Minus Ten
Homeless among many men

A cold snap
That’s is slowly breaking my soul into
Quarters,
In half’s would be to kind.

Minus Ten
Homeless among many men

Walk by
Spare no thought,
It’s only minus ten….and I am just another homeless person amongst many men

------- Author's Notes -------

Its cold out there guys..be thankful for that roof over your head.

cold

makes you stop and think about the homeless and the efforts they must go thru to stay warm in the winter.. It's sad this day in age there is homeless at all..

Reminds me of

And I'm not a person that likes rap music but, 50 cent's song Many Men. You're right, we are blessed far more than we know and realize. Just to be functioning properly is a blessing within itself, not to mention being alive.

As Jim Carrey would say, B-E-A utiful!

Thank you

Thank you both for taking the time to read. Tarna, yes it is very sad that its still around in 2009....Meri, we are indeed very blessed, whenever I step out into the cold, and Im about to moan about how freezing it is, I stop myself and remember that I have a roof to go back under whenever I please...thanks again!
