A State Of Grace
10 January, 2009
Author: Catyrose
Glancing in the mirror
Behold a woman aging with grace
Even though time has left its trace
There is strength and determination deep within her eyes
A singleness of purpose
That is hard to disguise
She carries herself with style and grace
Holding her head high
With a confident gaze
At long last surrendering the folly of youth
Preferring the simple things, like the plain spoken truth
She’s traveled the distance or so it would seem
In becoming a woman capable of achieving her dreams
Life’s little disappointments she has survived
Despite heartache and sorrow she continues to thrive

I can see myself in your poem standing in the mirror looking deep into myself and reflection on where I have been and who I have become... Great poem on the truth of maturing into to the women we have become .... |
