Innocent Mistake
21 January, 2009
Author: Lost_In_The_Music
now i kneel with blood on my hands
an innocent mistake gone to hell
i retrace my steps for you
stumbling to the point i fell
tears kiss my face, then burn
angels cry repentance
the devil whispers in my ear
and i'm sorry i looked for acceptance
it's too late for me to live in your world
your words slowly slitting my wrists
the sun paints me red with blood
as my fingers turn to unclenched fists
a shadow without a soul
a tear that has lost its way
a faceless nothing as destiny
chooses the consequences i must pay
i'll dance with the moon one last time
when i choose the actions i make
roses whisper in my ears, goodbye
as i kneel to pay for my innocent mistake
