Coping: Poems 1 To 5
14 February, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
A balance in life is the key
when looking for a certain symmetry
and it's that luxury of choice which lets us see
this world couldn't exist without Plan B.
No problem is what they all say.
No problem each and everyday.
No problem it will work out fine
as long as you don't make that problem mine!
There's a persistent knocking at my door.
Those Girl Guide cookies I must ignore
but now they're trying to even the score
with subversive activities in suburbia's core!
In private quarters our neurosis grows
and these are the blues which everyone knows
when a full length mirror inevitably shows
the humiliation of trying on clothes.
The world woke up with nothing to do.
Peace had won over me and you
but boredom set in and we missed the fight
of who was wrong and who was right!
