The Silent Debate Goes On
15 February, 2009
Author: Hope
Over the past few days
I have searched everywhere
It appears my muse has left
Seems its no longer there
How can I begin to write
Feels like the loss of a friend
As my muse remained silent
Nothing had been penned
As I burn the midnight oil
Sat here with my pen in hand
Many nights have been spent
Far away from dreamland
The silent debate goes on
Here between heart and mind
Perhaps this will explain why
The words are hard to find
Too wide awake to sleep
As I ponder through the night
Still there was the part of me
Who was longing to write
