Ideology: Poems 1 To 5
22 February, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
With the ramifications it surely brought
such ideological content is actively sought
but in an effort to contain this juggernaut
the last original idea remains an elusive thought!
--
As you read with intrepidity between the lines
a cryptic message offers warning signs
that a revolution of curiosity is always strong
when downloading the world's most dangerous song!
--
Embracing a paradigm is not a sin
when you look beyond the world you're in
by thinking outside the box to win
but Jack still emerges with that silly grin!
--
For fun and frivolity at its peak
the weekend warrior must rise and speak
against the numb, the mindless and the meek
who prefer the banality of the working week!
--
Socrates and Plato filled the gap.
Kant and John Locke took another lap
but modern day thinking received a slap
when current philosophy was embraced by rap!
