The Static Billow Prophecy
9 March, 2009
Author: Puppet
The tidal clouds, sky statues
Loom above like quiet beasts
A pure blank face of ivory
Held in pose for all to see
The landscape dots of shadow
Speak of silent dominance
The mighty billows tower
Over windswept prominence
These demigods, these monsters,
Who clutch so cruelly the horizon!
They’re slaves to every storm but
Conquer earth and all low rising
With cumulus lieutenants and their dragonfly wing-soldiers
The Sky will win against the men of germ and flesh and boulder
Atom bomb-blast hurricanes and missiles of tornadoes
Its grand sunset of triumph will be orange/gold torn halos
------- Author's Notes -------
Those huge, puffy clouds are a lot more ominous than they seem... |
