Confucius was dedicated to the pursuit of poor taste
as his extracts of wisdom were laid to waste
and being a mischief maker he couldn't refrain
from inserting his fortune cookies with something profane!

--

Upon deciphering the Rosetta Stone
the ancient inscription set the tone.
The hieroglyphics had a message to send:
"When lifting heavy objects remember to bend!"

--

Country Jam was her specialty and Gertrude Murphy was proud
but this contest for preserves was embedded in a shroud.
After the taste testing there was not one sound.
The judges are now residing six feet underground!

--

From the land of their birth to a new country
their tired eyes could not see
across this ocean open and free
a white man waiting so patiently!

--

There was a gradual change in our brother Moe.
His body spoke so he went with the flow
and by switching genders she decided to come clean
as our sister in hiding by the name of Maureen!

Very funny

The first line of the last paragraph reminded me of the character from the Three Stooges. The fourth line of the 1st paragraph was comical. Perhaps "fortune cookies" made me laugh.

As always, good job Colin!

Loved the humour

Smiles across the miles , I
loved the sense of humour threaded through in each one
