Life Boat
19 April, 2002
Author: Don Fraser
To the life boats I heard the captain shout,
The women and children first,
If we have to,
We men will do without.
Although his courage among the men,
Did not ring throughout.
Some men pushed and shoved,
I guess it was,
Their lives they loved.
They knocked women and children aside.
Those men had,
No pride.
The ship went under soon.
Then each man,
Felt like a goon.
