Dealing With It: Poems 1 To 5
15 March, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
The human race was wearing him thin
with the constant trouble they always get in
so group therapy will offer a viable choice
for guardian angels and solidarity of voice!
--
In Red Square he has made his bed
as Lenin is entombed and overcome with dread
wearing an iPod but wishing instead
this communist propaganda wasn't filling his head!
--
Laughter is contagious and that much is true
when used as a medicine to get us through
by alleviating stress and bad karma too
unless they're all laughing just at you!
--
After colliding with armageddon nobody had won
so the history of weapons brought us back to square one
and for the few who survived there were certain goals
to round up the lads and sharpen their poles!
--
With a surrender to temptation many have complied
to the immoral thoughts of their insidious side
and in these dark shadows it can only provide
a touch of larceny which lays waiting inside!
