Euphoria (inspired By Emma-louise)
28 March, 2009
Author: Mike
Two years of pain, of sorrow, of heartache.
All posted here in black and white.
Posted for the world to see,
For the world to reach out and help.
Posted for others to know that they are not alone.
And now, three years on,
Life is good.
The demons of my past are six feet under,
Suffocated to death under the growing love from friends and family,
While I've been lifted to an almost euphoric high,
Six feet over the heads of everyone else.
Gone are those long, sleepless nights of tossing and turning,
Of kicking out at anything and everything.
Gone are those bloodstained implements of pain,
of healing.
Gone are those shapeless black clothes,
Draped around a shapeless black soul.
All that remains now are the scars.
They'll never heal,
But they can always be hidden.

Your 'getoveryourself' poem is ten times better than mine pmsl, and I'm still doing English Language at college.. whoops! "Gone are those shapeless black clothes, draped around a shapeless black soul." Love that!! x |
