The Labyrinth Of Love: Poems 1 To 5
6 April, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
He held my hand with paternal pride.
A little boy grew up by his side.
Love and sacrifice is how he complied.
I held his hand when my father died.
--
It's an intangibility that we cannot see.
The stars above connect you and me.
To blindly approach and find the right chemistry.
The equation of love is still a mystery!
--
The list of lovers was hard to ignore
everytime her husband walked out the door
and the pedal steel weeped trying to keep score
like every other country song you've heard before!
--
He made an effort to get closer inside
but access to her heart was completely denied
as the laws of attraction offer no guide
for the unrequited love of Frankenstein's bride!
--
Where did that nice old lady go?
And how does her garden continue to grow?
If any secrets are buried we'll never know.
Her daisies have put on quite a show!
