Echo And Narcissus
30 April, 2009
Author: Karla Bardanza
When I lost my voice
And the world was made of
Silence to me, I saw him...
And I remember my heart
Beating fast...so many things
I wanted to tell him...I burnt
In my own flames repeating
His name in my mind...just
My soul could listen to me
In my secluded world...
Once he said “I love you”,
I thought it was for me,
So I echoed his words
But he was engrossed
By his own image...he
Never ever listened to
My heart...
He died obsessed by
Something he thought
To be love...
I pined away...my heart
Broken...so many words
Were left unspoken...
Gaia preserved my voice
And it sounds everywhere.
But now it is too late...
There is nothing i can do...
But now it is too late
To tell him again “I love you”...
