Love Is A Sword
1 May, 2009
Author: Karla Bardanza
Love is a sword you use to taunt me
And I simply watch you stabbing my back
While you pretend to kiss my neck.
In awe I see your cruel delight, your anger,
Your fear and your confusion. So afraid I run
And run from illusion.
I stumble and I fall…Blood everywhere.
I hear your call my name…
I hear you say you need me…
Oh! It always ends the same…
I nestle you in my arms
And lull you to sleep
And each time you hurt me,
The scar gets so deep.
My life is nothing but a snowball,
A windmill that I can’t stop,
A stream taking me away
To this love that kills me so softly
Every single day.
