The Lonely Sand
17 March, 2002
Author: Don Fraser
There was only one pebble of sand.
In the desert,
It was grand.
It was taken away,
From the desert.
It had to stray.
There were no more friends in which to play.
Perhaps they will come,
Some day.
The pebble was so lonely.
He was dropped in a field of dirt.
He was by himself and I mean only.
But soon other pebbles joined him on the dirt.
So he said to himself.
I was never hurt.
