Moments Before The Last Breath
7 May, 2009
Author: Newage Caveman
Eyelids that twinkled for years
Wiping out the tears of the past
Flooded by countless memories
The time has arrived for the soul to depart
The power of prayer is tested at the last moment
When the soul departs from the being
God lifts the burdened angel from the body
Only to let go of its dark covering
The darkness that once engulfed
Were the memories from a troubled life
The soul regains new vigor
When touched by the beacon of light
The soul’s journey to heaven
Is a mighty revelation
This cannot be perceived enough
By the human imagination
But there are souls that fall again
Repenting for the life they didn’t live
Yearning for the wishes
Wishes that weren’t fulfilled
The thoughts before the last breath
Is the key to the heaven’s gate
“Think of me, me alone”, says God
That alone will decide your fate
Thinking about God during the last breath
Is not easy as it may sound
When mind is clouded by endless thoughts
It refuses to let go of the bound
The mind is free from pain
When he thinks of the Holy Spirit
The soul reaches the kingdom of God
Only if the last word has God’s name on his lips
