The Architects Of Deconstruction: 5 Poems
13 May, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
As you read with intrepidity between the lines
a cryptic message offers warning signs
that a revolution of curiosity is always strong
when downloading the world's most dangerous song!
--
Aberrant behaviour and a desperate act.
Murder ballads lay claim to this fact.
The bloody chorus remains unabated by time
cursed by countless variations on the same old crime!
--
Authority would prefer to turn its back
and ignore this unprovoked attack
from a voice who questions what they lack
when the status quo reveals a crack!
--
At the end of the road you must face
the idea of accepting the eternal embrace
and your bags are packed just in case
a mystery exists in another time and place!
--
An embarrassing turn towards hesitation.
The awkward silence of procrastination
leading to those moments known as desperation
during another session of legislation!
