Character Flaws And Narrative Laws: 5 Poems
24 May, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
In act of cold blood on the day they were wed
the groom fell silent with the poison he was fed
as the cunning young bride flashed her cruel smile instead.
She had found the devil and lay in his bed!
--
The celebrity garbage picker opened the lid
to empty the contents which someone hid
and with crumpled disregard was a note
containing the worst lyrics Bob Dylan ever wrote!
--
The young carpenter from Nazareth was heard to complain
in a voice of frustration and utter disdain
when banging his thumb led to a new threshold in pain
as he cursed and screamed his name in vain!
--
Dr. Frankenstein prayed for success
but the monster's audition was a mess.
He lacked agility, coordination and dazzling speed
and with Irish step dancing that is something you need!
--
The latest study seems to suggest
the previous findings were only in jest
and the survey in question merely a test
to see if apathy was laid to rest!
