Darkness And Light: 5 Poems

We are among the missing and now presumed dead!
Once I had flesh in a previous life I led
and this is my eulogy you will never see:
To those of you who searched but did not find me!

On this canvas He splashed darkness and light
by painting 7 days of morning and night
in order to ease the burden of our weary head
and when to wake up and then go to bed!
--
It's clear my lover had gone away
and left me to regret that fateful day
so it simply wasn't a matter of choice
when I felt compelled to silence her voice!
--
They attempted to offer their enormous skill.
To improve this world would be an aesthetic thrill
but humanity didn't listen and it made them ill.
Unappreciated extraterrestrials are hiding still!
--
Young Mozart seemed fascinated by the endless tide.
His search for the perfect wave was always denied
and if his requiem sounded a little absurd ....
"Papa-ooma-mow-mow" sang his Surfin' Bird!
