Adapt And Overcome: 5 Poems
27 May, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
With a thorough wash, a rinse and then repeat
this shampoo and conditioner was hard to beat
as the man with no head could not accept defeat
when the label on the bottle read 'Rene Magritte.'
--
It's the nature of the beast to feel despair
by having anxiety when you look down there
knowing your big feet require orthopedic care.
This dilemma which made Bigfoot painfully aware!
--
They could not seek friend or foe
in this shady tale of political woe
when jumping partisan ship was like a revolving door.
The Turncoat Party forever more!
--
Leading to a pattern man would perfect
of behavior most foul and incorrect
he was sure to make himself the lead suspect
as it was Cain who became the first architect!
--
This fight for independence provided a clue
as the flag up above had a different hue
and depending on your personal point of view
it was out with the old and in with the new!
