These Judicious Eyes Of Perception: 5 Poems
10 June, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
If the Big Bang theory worked in reverse
the universe would relieve earth of its curse
as women ventured out and watched over their turf
while men stayed home in order to give birth!
--
In Madame Tussaud's people stop and stare
into the eyes of infamy and its evil glare.
You cringe for a moment but still can't relax
although your neighbour is only made out of wax!
--
With health and happiness you must equate
that all human beings share the same trait
and this balance in life is the ultimate bait
for those who are patient and agree to wait!
--
Tom Thumb may have felt a slight
by being overlooked and out of sight
but what the world fails to see
he's a far bigger man than you or me!
--
The very nature of the media made it painfully aware
that our affinity for conflict is beyond repair
and if a good headline is what makes you stare
then drama is essential to take you there!
