A Poetic Confession
25 June, 2009
Author: Karla Bardanza
Don’t expect me to talk about warm feelings all the time.
Sometimes my heart is somewhere else and I simply
Use my mind… Sometimes I even don’t know
Which are the right words I have to find…
Oh! Don’t expect me to be a woman who ignores
Her hatred, desire and pain… Sometimes anger explains
All the hurt inside, sometimes desire escapes from me
And it is a sea where I want to be… I can’t change
To satisfy and to please… Some things I can’t hide…
They make my blood boils and I can’t recoil…
Let me tell you a secret: I can be fire, I can be ice,
I can be a mixture of feelings… I can be your virtue
And your vice… But one thing is for sure I can’t change
Because of you… I am afraid you have misread me
And you can’t see who is this someone who is above
All a human being… Let me express what my heart
Wants to confess… I hope this woman here has made
Herself clear.
