Saddle The Wind
10 February, 2002

It was windy on the desert that miserable day. The sand was blowing into my nostrils so bad they began to plug up, my horse kept trying to turn his rump to the wind to keep the sand from blowing into hiis eyes. finally I could go no futher, I got off of my horse and took the saddle and bridle off of him to let him cope with the wind and the blowing sand in his own way. He emediatly turned his rump to the wind and just stood there.

I put my saddle on the sand of the desert and hid behind it from the wind and the blowing sand. My saddle protected me for what seemed like hours before the wind subsided. When the wind did subside my horse ran off. I had to walk off of that desert. Luckly the wind did not blow again while I was walking. I left my saddle out on that desert, If the wind and the blowing sand ever bother another person that travels accross the desert, it is theirs to use to hide from the wind and the blowing sand.
