Soft As A Whisper...
11 August, 2009
Author: Shiloh
I know you're there.
I keep seeing you,
out of the corner of my eye,
and when I turn my head
so I can take a better look,
you're gone.
But I know you're there.
It's reassuring, somehow,
knowing you still come around,
almost as if you want to let us know
that you're all right,
and that you still remember us,
and that you still love us.
And you know that we still love you;
we always will...
we will never stop loving you.
Or missing you.
So when I see you,
even for that tiny fraction of a moment,
when you hold still and let me see you,
then it sort of helps to make it a little better,
it makes me understand that you're okay,
and it gives me a good feeling.
Seeing you, once in a while,
makes me know that one day we'll be together again.
I miss the sound of you purring...
