My Love

If I ever loved a horse it was my stallion Pappy. He was the sire of many winners, but that is not the only reason I loved him, he was so gentle a kid could pet him, I never tried to ride Pappy, he was simply a stallion for breeding mares. I never had to worry about Pappy. I would let him run free in the breeding arena while I got the mare ready for breeding. Pappy would go to the far side of the arena and wait for me to finish. After I got the mare ready, I would call him and he would come and over and cover the mare.

I have bred mares with many studs, but there never was one as easy to handle as Pappy. When Pappy died, I quit the breeding business. Rest well Pappy my friend.
