Behind My Doors

Behind my doors
Some others more...
Behind my doors
What I hate and adore…

A starry night,
A perfumed garden,
A lioness ready to attack
A mad woman who is always
Back…

Behind my doors
Some others who separate me
From my memory…
Behind my doors
A deep blue sea and a sweet mystery.

A cruel melancholy,
A frightened voice,
A cat unleashing its claws.
Behind my doors,
So many flaws.

Behind my doors,
My guilty eyes,
My trembling lip,
Some wine and
A serpent in the pit.

Behind my doors
A whole new world
To be seen…
A place that you have
Never been.

Behind my doors…
Some others doors…
Most are locked but one
Is ajar…
If you look through it,
You will see my newly scar.

Behind my doors
A secret is buried.
A woman is crying.
Behind my doors,
In despair I am dying.

Behind my doors,
You are safe and protected
From what you most fear.
Behind my doors,
You will always have my hands
To wipe your tears.
Behind my doors,
I am bending with the weight
Of my silence and desire…
Behind my doors,
Heavens, hell and fire…

------- Author's Notes -------

This poem was inspired on a friend's comment. I will never forget those words because they opened my mind and my soul. And I do thank him for being my buddy, my shrink, my teacher, my favourite comedian,my this and that, my everything.

... beyond these doors of perception......

beyond these doors of perception lay a profound mystery for which I cannot find the key.....
and that is the allure and its inevitable attraction.....
