Dark Time

Author: TriTran
Still in the vortex of a crimson war,
They lay begging to taste peace.
Tearful hearts whispered, “help please,”
But the God was still very far.
Death lurked in the freezing air,
Waiting to quench thirst with fresh blood.
Pain screamed in a wrathful mood,
Gazing at the innocent who sprawled in the fiery flare.
Their flamboyant dreams had been shattered
In the cold, lonesome winter,
And their joy had vanished, forever.
High, in the sky, peace painfully, rattled.
