The Memory Of The Wind
4 September, 2009
Author: Karla Bardanza
And what I have is what I think I have…
Maybe a lullaby, maybe some words
That don’t know how to fly…
And what I have is here and now,
This pain, this passion, this moment
Of solitude and oblivion, this sorrow…
Clocks tick…Oh! Life flows but
Today and tomorrow are the same
When alone I whisper your name
In my madness and despair.
Today and tomorrow are parts of
This maze that goes nowhere…
And when I am awaken, I think
I am still sleeping, And when I
Am sleeping, my eyes are open
Looking at my broken wings…
Oh! You…Look through me…
Look through the windows of
My soul…Hold me tight, don’t
Let me go before I know the
Spirits of your words.
Oh! Love
I am slipping through your
Fingers, I am near the abyss…
I am…I am not acting but
You can’t see what is deep
Within…
I am lost…I am lost
In this ever expanding love
That defines me and blinds me
And hurts me and hides me
And binds me to a prelude
To a poem.
I am lost…I am lost
In my own darkness,
In those words you can’t say,
In moments that fade away.
And what I have is a song,
And what I have is the memory
Of the wind.
And what I have is here and it
Is gone…
And what I have reminds me
That I am all alone.
