Worst In Me
12 September, 2009
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
You bring out the worst in me
Though I try to hide it well
Your constant pessimistic view
The negatives, which you dwell
It's hard for me to understand
The need for your complaints
Without a drive to fix things
I need to use restraint
I usually am so optimistic
With common sense in tact
When your around I grit my teeth
My peaceful world's attacked
I don't like myself when I feel this way
Full of dislike and distrust
Watching every thing I say
Till I feel like I'll combust
Yes, you bring out the worst in me
Heart palpitations, internal screams
When you leave I sigh in relief
Praying your won't follow into my dreams
