Baby Math

I did, at one point, have a man in my life
Who loved me, I know-we just weren't right
It wasn't until after we married that I let him go
Subtracting everything from life I had grown to know

And then, quite rapidly, entered another kind of love
Adding to my life everything I had dreamt of
Someone showing he loved me and showing he cared
Blinding me with promises that now seem unfair

For just a short while I was constantly smiling
Amazed with what I had-though he thought I was lying
I coudn't handle no longer feeling the comfort he originally provided
So, I packed my bags and left-feeling torn and divided

I allowed sadness to overwhelm my personality and life
Eventually growing past it and releasing all the strife
I, then, opened myself partially allowing someone inside
And even though we're not together-turns out we've multiplied!
