He
25 June, 2002
Author: Anjali Thapa
I ride upon him
Dark as this night
A virile, wild stallion
His reins upon my hands
With compliance, thus
He dozes in sweet surrender
I go trotting
High and mighty
Come; see the world in me
He fills it all
My pillow’s empty side
Cold, unwrinkled white sheet
Softly - softly he tours
This uninhabited side of me
Mystifyingly captivating
Jewels shining upon my skin
I cry for breath, once
This very once
Instead he
Embeds a new life within
Here, see the world in us
The seed of love planted.
