Broken.
12 October, 2009
Author: Taylor James
Heart of stone,
lips of ice.
Snake in the grass,
filthy mice.
Burnt out soul,
no control.
Gone with the thunder,
watch you plunder.
Face of a clown,
no jokes in town.
Knife in the back,
body still intact.
Too weak to care,
breath of soiled air.
Words like a gun to the heart,
body and soul yet to depart.
Scent so stale,
the scent to fail.
Destiny intervened,
but no destiny in between.
Fight for love,
live for hate.
Try to help,
don't co-operate.
Hanging loose,
tie the noose,
around the neck,
hit the deck.
Empty shell,
soul in hell.
Revive the night,
still no end in sight.
painful laughter.
no happy ever after.
