Comebacks: 5 Poems
13 October, 2009
Author: Colin Stewart
Jesus came back and faced disbelieving sneers
and also was the recipient of many hearty cheers
but when editorial push came to editorial shove
he just tried to teach them all some love!
---
Another revolution will be fought.
Receptive students can be taught
through the iconic image known as Che
and the T-shirt marketers say touche`!
---
I came back from the stone cold dead
and this single life I've come to dread
by kissing your sweet forgiving lips
although you noticed the width of my hips!
---
It never really went away.
Tomorrow has become just another day
and deja vu came into play
or did it?
---
He brought that SOB back to life
for what he did to his wife
and though it wasn't very nice
the man responsible had to die twice!
