A Night Whisper
16 October, 2009
Author: Pamela O'Brien
Every night
Or in the early hours of the morning
I listen for that familiar sound
The wind...
Both inviting and threatening
It begs for attention
Especially in the darkness
And when minds are resting
Sleeping
Unaware
Of its presence and its beauty
It chills my room
Rustles paper
And raises hairs
And yet, I cannot turn away
Cannot close my eyes
Or ears
To its comforting sway...
