Die I Must
5 January, 2000
Author: Don Fraser
Everyone must die
There will be
No one there to cry
When my day of reckoning comes
There will be no one there
To beat the drums
I have lived my life wrong
I thought life was just a song
I did what I pleased
I paid no attention
To others needs
At my funeral there
Will be
No one there
For all my life
For other people
I didn’t care
When
I lay in that coffin
You won’t be able to hear
People coughin
Cause there will be no one there
for the simple reason
I didn’t care

Rick Ryckman (71.97.24.67) -- Thursday, November 23 2006, 02:09 am No man is an island entire of itself. Each man's death diminishes me! Therefore, send not to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee. These are the best words I could find. I am sure there will be someone ---- somewhere that you have touched along the way unknowingly. I can relate to what you have written here. I have been by myself for all too many years. I hope there will be someone to put a stone on my grave maker. |
