When you're depressed,
when you're angry,
when you're confused,
when you're afraid...

Is it easier
if you don't have anyone
around you who cares?

When nothing is right,
and you don't know how to fix it,
and you spend your days
going through the motions,
but none of it seems to matter any more...

Is it easier
if you have distanced yourself
from those that you know love you?

When you think of a way out,
when you consider the good,
the bad,
and the ugliness of it...

Is it easier to leave,
if you don't have anyone left
to say goodbye to?

I've been there,
and I just want to say
that you may cut yourself off
from everyone else,
but they haven't cut themselves off
from you.
