Inanimate Objects Have Feelings Too: 5 Poems

The Porcelain Doll:
Porcelain doll with eyes so clear
throughout my life you've always been here
and if the wrinkles on my skin are to blame
I always marvel as you still remain the same!
---
The Lonely Tea Pot:
The tea inside will no longer steep.
Life is not ours for us to keep.
You've abandoned me and seldom think
as you pass by everyday for another drink!
---
Artificial Flowers:
By the gesture dear you have made
a love like ours will never fade
and a lifetime of beauty put on pause
with these artificial flowers in a vase!
---
Neglected Vinyl:
Can't you take me for a little spin?
I know music changes but I'll never win
if you don't dust me off and listen to the past.
I guess certain fads were not meant to last!
---
Tarnished Wallpaper:
Something very sinister was concealed
as tarnished wallpaper has now revealed
an ageless mystery and how destiny falls
on those who covered blood splattered walls!
