No Recovery
16 November, 2009
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Recovering who I am from who you were
Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference
For some of who you are is in me now
Scarred, my heart remains attached
Years have passed but it still resides
Touching me in a way I never thought it would
Renewed each time is see you
Relived the night after in my dreams
I try to let go but it won't set me free
It is with me always, embedded in me
The trauma that was yours, is mine too
Living to understand what can't be understood
Within, I will remain part of who you are
Always close with each small failure
With any of life's negativity it resurfaces
Your wounds are now mine ..forever
