Contemplating The Day
20 November, 2009
Author: Pamela O'Brien
It is one of 'those' days
Where everything seems too still
Despite the wind
Blowing around my window curtains
It is a little too quiet
The only sounds are distant
And my mind is racing
Because my heart is uncertain
It is one of 'those' days
When my list of things to do
Simply cannot satisfy
This feeling of restlessness
The sky is a little too clear
My thoughts a little too blue
And the ticking of the clock
Counts down endless minutes
It is one of 'those' days
Where the tranquility is overwhelming
And unwelcome.....
