The Embrace
20 November, 2009
Author: Karla Bardanza
She embraces him tenderly with her watery arms,
weaving poems out of seagulls and sandcastles.
Diving silently into his soul, she finds black pearls
crystallized in promises, hidden in oceans of love,
carved from mossy rocks as the sea sleeps calmly
in her heart of delicate enchantment and beauty.
She embraces him and he sinks in her dark depths
of solitude and mystery tattooed in sacred shells.
She embraces him and he melts away in her hands,
sighing, whispering words that only love understands.
