The Tender Cavern
25 November, 2009
Author: Karla Bardanza
That lost cavern was a forbidden fruit, a hidden
pleasure to be appreciated with all his senses,
a wonder carved deep through a different land
bounded by desire, contained by some defenses.
He couldn’t believe he was entering the cavern,
savoring that moment of discovery and trance,
feeling his eager heart beating fast in that perfect
darkness as his life and soul did sigh and dance.
Swallowed up by that immense beauty, he quenched
his thirst, he had his divine moment of transcendence.
The quest for truth was over, he had finally deciphered
The mysteries of the cavern in words of acquiescence.
