The Nile
8 December, 2001
Author: Don Fraser
For years I’ve dreamed about barging down the Nile
I want to do it
Egyptian style
I will see the sphinx
I wonder what I
Will think
I will see the pyramids
In there, are mummies
They put them in caskets
And then they closed the lids
I will see men pulling on a rope
To get from the canals, to the great Nile
They can only hope
All journey’s
Must come to an end
I have barged down this river
The great Nile is my friend
