Doormat Bullseye
9 December, 2009
Author: LinzAy
I stood there...a target for your insults
And fell numb from all your bullseye hits
I'm the liar. I'm a cheat. It's all my fault.
How did we aim for love and so badly miss?
I sat there giving in to your cruelty
Captured and chained by desire for attention
But with only your cold shoulders and evil eyes welcoming me
I needed to let go of our original intentions
So, I decided not to be your doormat any longer
It hurt too deeply to be walked all over by a man I adored
I searched desperately for courage to make me stronger
And, without saying goodbye, walked out your door...
