The Parade Of The New Year
29 December, 2009
Author: TriTran
The gray skies of January wave farewell to yesteryear
As the silver rain flip-flops on the grass till the end of February.
Suddenly March glistens in amber wear to attract the daffodils and tulips,
Soon, April’s here to shine amber for the grass to whispers joy.
Behind it, May strolls happily, bringing her happy face home.
The lilies begin to beam as they see June blossoms on the meadows,
Soon, July scintillates in the evening sky for the crimson sun to stay up late to have fun.
August hums melodiously as it parades by planet Earth, sharing warmth to all;
Leaves soon to withers sadly as they hear September mourns good bye to summer,
But October howls days and nights like a wolf to scare it away.
November then silently tiptoes home, whistling hymns of Thanksgiving,
Lastly it’s December, dressed in white, tagging along a bag of joy to the people,
It yells joyfully,” happy new year all!”
