The Cliffs
1 January, 1970
Author: Don Fraser
Way up on the cliff an eagle has it’s nest
She builds it
Much higher than the rest
When she feeds her young
In life they will
Reach another rung
The Mother flies so high
She is so far
Up in the sky
And if something comes near her nest
It had better be
At it’s best
For she will protect what is hers
She will fight
With bill and spurs
So never climb those cliffs
Unless with a mother eagle
You want some riffs
She wants to be left alone
Strangers she will
Not condone
This I want you all to hear
From a Mother eagle
Please stand clear
Never climb a cliff so high
You can see
An eagles eye.
