A Showing

Author: Puppet
I had a dream last night.
After evading some vicious alligators in a nearby lake
(which was part of some sort of public marshland),
I went to a showing of Avatar.
The movie theater was strange,
with round tables all around,
like those at a late-night jazz club.
But it was unmistakably a theater,
and as the lights were dimmed to movie-playing dark,
a sweeping, panoramic IMAX screen was unveiled.
We sat at these tables and watched the movie,
a surreal, vaguely distorted version of the real thing.
I saw many people I know, but didn't talk to any of them.
