Influence 2
7 January, 2010

Influence
Controls your fists
Makes you swear
Makes emotions flare
As if you don’t care
Well, at the moment.
Influence makes you like
Well, at the moment.
Until you have qualms
Conviction hurts
Pricks the heart
Like a Black and Decker
Influence makes you hide
Makes you run (from yourself)
Makes you wish
You could leave the world
To never return
Makes you wish someone
Would put out the fire that continues to burn
Endlessly
Hoping they won’t find out the key
The key to your misery
