The Silence
19 January, 2010
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I awake to the silence
sitting in the solitude
I spend the day in the quiet
troubled by the hurt
With this silence I share every day
with a love that is ending beside me
this silence killing it
little by little
day by day
putting aside what once was
and for some reason is no longer
There are no harsh words
there is no fighting
only silence
and as I go to bed alone
the silence is broken by my tears

Meridian (71.176.44.141) -- Friday, January 22 2010, 09:07 pm This for true. Hopefully, it's a poem on the subject of love lost or ending. I want all couples to stay together until death. The emotions in the poem are so real though. I like how you make us feel what's happening in the poem. Go Dreamer Go Dreamer Go! |
LAR (67.251.100.215) -- Tuesday, February 16 2010, 07:07 am Sometimes thoughts such as these reflect what is actually experienced. Unfortunately, there are many who understand your words all too well. Even when the other person is near, you can be all alone, and while you may have no other option, it is not easy to stay the course. |
